Coxswain / Boat Register for Head of the Yarra and list of individuals seeking a row
HOY organisers are wishing to continue to assist prospective competitors in need of a boat or coxswain. In 2004, for the first time HOY organisers set up a webpage to provide some assistance, particularly to our interstate and international competitors. We have continued to offer this service, now with an assistant available to help you personally to be put in contact with other clubs with resources available who may be able to help.
All you need to do is register on-line. We also want to hear from clubs who may have a spare boat or coxswain to offer to visiting clubs. Available COXSWAINS are encouraged to register as we have had MANY requests for coxswains too!
HOY organisers ask clubs and schools to consider how many of your fleet of eights you are likely to crew in Head of the Yarra. We ask you to seriously consider offering any spare eights for loan, at totally negotiable conditions between yourself and the interested club. And don't worry about the condition: some crews really don't mind how old or wooden the boat, as long as they get a row.
Please be aware this service is only provided to assist, we do not guarantee a boat or coxswain will be found. Hawthorn Rowing Club nor the Head of the Yarra organisers take any responsibility for the details provided nor the negotiations made between parties.
Interested? Apply on-line feature temporarily unavailable - contact us instead.
Below is a list of people looking for a row - to include your details contact us - or if you think can accommodate one of these rowers contact them directly. (Don't forget to let us know when to remove you from the list!).
